What is checked in the electrical system, and how is fire risk identified?
An electrical fire begins with a loose or undersized connection heating up, and that heating only appears under load. The panel, battery bank and terminals are therefore scanned with a thermal camera while the systems are live. Sockets are additionally tested for voltage, polarity and earth continuity.
Why it works this way
Reverse polarity cannot be identified by eye, and a hot terminal looks perfectly sound. Both show up as numbers rather than opinions — which is what makes them actionable.
