What does thermal imaging find that a standard survey does not?
Thermal imaging shows nothing on a system that is not running: a loose connection only heats while current passes, a blocked circuit only shows a difference while the pump runs. The scan is therefore done with the generator running, air-conditioning on and the engine warm and under load.
Why it works this way
The output is not a picture but a number — the finding enters the report as a temperature difference. That is what allows a hot terminal to be graded and priced rather than merely noted.
