What is the difference between a survey and a valuation?
A survey focuses on defects; a valuation focuses on value. The survey documents what is wrong and what it will cost; the valuation combines the same technical findings with market data to produce a reasoned value range.
Why it works this way
Because the inspection largely overlaps, the two are not priced separately when commissioned together. For a purchase decision they answer different questions and are often useful side by side.
