What is osmosis and how much does it matter when buying?
Osmosis alone is not a reason to walk away. What matters is how widespread it is, how deep it runs and whether it has reached the laminate. Surface blistering is a manageable maintenance item; widespread laminate-deep osmosis requires the hull to be dried for months and an epoxy barrier applied.
Why it works this way
The question that matters is not whether osmosis is present but which class it falls into — and that can only be settled by measuring extent, depth and moisture distribution separately.
