How far in advance should I book a survey?
In season (May-October) one to two weeks is sensible; in winter a few days is usually enough. If you are under time pressure before paying a deposit, call — we stretch the schedule where we can.
Why it works this way
The real bottleneck in season is not our diary but the yard’s lifting schedule, since the boat has to be ashore and dry. Giving notice mostly buys room in that queue.
