For permanent living the decisive factors are moisture and energy management rather than sailing performance: ventilation, insulation, water capacity, battery bank and charging arrangement.
Why it works this way
On a boat lived in through winter, condensation is the principal structural enemy. Interior and electrical surveys therefore carry extra weight where liveaboard use is planned.
